My midnight part time job…

Published by ruehyinn under Bluish & Pinkish Life

Just like many others having part time job on top of their full time job, I am not excluded too. I have a part time job and I have been serving my job for few months now.

Sigh… What to do? Life is tough now… with current high inflation and low pay job, I just need to find extra money to continue sustaining my current expenses and bills. After all, if I don’t work hard when I am still young and energetic, when else? He he he… Anyway, I gotta stop whining. Complains always make one person lethargic, don’t you think so?

Try to guess what is my part time job? My only hint: I usually start working late at night… Could I work as a:-

1. Strip club bouncer

Night Club Bouncer

2. Gigolo?

gigolo

Hahaha… make your mind straight guys. None, of the above actually. My part time job is a “general worker” to my girlfriend when she starts baking late at night. My job scope includes…

1. preparing the utensils

2. mixing all the ingredients

3. do some light decorating and

4. wash and clean up and etc …etc… etc… (general jobs essentially)

Oh…for all the jobs that I do above…I don’t get paid. I’m just a “slave” working for my girlfriend just to have a piece of her cup cake. An hour job for 2 cup cakes… I know what comes to your mind… You guys must be thinking I am such an idiot to work for 2 cup cakes for an hour. But think of it that way, people are selling cup cakes outside for RM4.50 per piece. So effectively I am taking home RM9.00 per hour. I challenge you guys to find me such a good deal for a part timer :-). I just need food, that’s all…

If my justification is not acceptable, just think of it this way…All are done in the name of love. The love for her and the cup cakes…hahaha.

Okay, cut the crap. These are some of the cup cake pictures that I took. All are freshly bake cup cakes:-

and zoom in version…

After faithfully perform my job, I got to enjoy my wages…

Cupcakes 3

Super duper yummy….

Yawn.. I need some sleep now. Signing off..goodnight…

Breakfast @ McDonald…

Published by ruehyinn under Bluish & Pinkish Life

Woke up early this morning to have breakfast with Juleen at McDonald. Not exactly a very romantic place to have breakfast but that is what she requested a day before, so I have to fulfill it. I’m not sure what’s wrong with her lately. She has this deep craving for fast food. Two days ago, she felt like eating KFC, some people called it Killing Friendly Chicken, my office called it the Kar Fu’s Clan (KF is my colleague)..but I called it errr….whatever!!

Anyway, it was a good breakfast. I am not referring to the breakfast set but the time spent eating with her. Though, we have to rush through our breakfast which is not healthy (so don’t try it at home), we have a good 15 minutes quality and lovely chat. We had the McValue Meal Breakfast but frankly speaking, the meal doesn’t provide much ‘value’ since it costs RM8.00++ per person.

What to do? This is a capitalist world, everything you want comes with a price. Anyway, the McValue Meal Breakfast comes with pancake + sausage + hash brown + coffee.

McD Breakfast

Try this: It is tasty to eat the pancake + sausage + syrup + margarine together. Ohh..don’t forget to take a sip of coffee while those food are still in your mouth. The blend is just perfect !!

McD Breakfast

Last but not least the harsh hash brown. Take the coffee to go if you are late for work or school… and RUNnnnNNN…. Hahaha..

I hope the food will provides me the much needed energy for the day, especially when I need to cramp myself in the LRT. The tremor in the LRT always make me sick! I don’t know why… Look, I can’t even get a nice picture using my cellphone:-

My blog is the center of gravity…

When someone speaks, they want to be heard.

When someone writes, they want their writing to be read.

When someone blog, not only they want their article to be read and heard but also to be enjoyed with the hope more and more people will visit your blog in the future.

My blog is only few days old. I know I know, I shouldn’t expect much. But out of my curiosity, I’ll check on my blog stats. I want to know how many people visited my blog and who drive them here. However, I was a little disappointed today as only one person visited my blog. If I ever know who is that person, I think I will give him a hug and thanks…hahaha… because without him my heart will be crushed. You know it is pointless if you put up a blog but no one enjoy what you have on your blog. It is all about sharing, remember? So to cut the crap short, other than having good content, I need traffic…hehe…

Anyway, as I scroll down the blog stat page, I was shocked !!! You know why??? Because my blog is the center of the gravity. Really, I am not lying. See below:-

Haha… okay, I know it is lame. But, I still don’t understand why the search engine would drive that “poor” guy to my blog when I didn’t write anything about gravity whatsoever. However, it is so comforting and amusing to see the blog stats report today. Probably it is God’s way to encourage me to continue blogging. I am sure God has a good sense of humor, don’t you think so? My response to Him will be “I got it, Sir”.

Moral of the story:-

Success is the good fortune that comes from aspiration, desperation, perspiration and inspiration.

How Do I know I Married the Right Person?

Published by ruehyinn under Wis - Dom

Originally uploaded by Roseyes

I received this article from Jarance this morning. And I thought it is a good and relevant article to read, so I just post it up.

Enjoy reading…

EVERY relationship has a cycle.

In the beginning, you fell in love with your spouse/ partner. You anticipated their call, wanted their touch, and liked their idiosyncrasies (unconventional behavior/habit).

Falling in love with your spouse wasn’t hard. In fact, it was a completely natural and spontaneous experience. You didn’t have to DO anything. That’s why it’s called ‘falling’ in love… Because it is happening TO YOU.

People in love sometimes say, ‘I was swept of my feet.’ Think about the imagery of that expression. It implies that you were just standing there; doing nothing, and then something came along and happened TO YOU.

Falling in love is easy. It’s a passive and spontaneous experience. But after a few years of marriage, the euphoria (excitement) of love fades. It’s the natural cycle of EVERY relationship. Slowly but surely, phone calls become a bother (if they come at all), touch is not always welcome (when it happens), and your spouse’s idiosyncrasies, instead of being cute, drive you nuts.

The symptoms of this stage vary with every relationship, but if you think about your marriage, you will notice a dramatic difference between the initial stage when you were in love and a much dull or even angry subsequent stage.

At this point, you and/or your spouse might start asking,

‘Did I marry the right person?’

And as you and your spouse reflect on the euphoria of the love you once had, you may begin to desire that experience with someone else. This is when marriages breakdown. People blame their spouse for their unhappiness and look outside their marriage for fulfillment.

Extramarital fulfillment comes in all shapes and sizes. Infidelity is the most obvious. But sometimes people turn to work, a hobby, a friendship, excessive TV, or abusive substances.

But the answer to this dilemma does NOT lie outside your marriage. It lies within it. I’m not saying that you couldn’t fall in love with someone else. You could.

And TEMPORARILY you’d feel better. But you’d be in the same situation a few years later. Because (listen carefully to this):

THE KEY TO SUCCEEDING IN MARRIAGE IS NOT FINDING THE RIGHT PERSON; IT’S LEARNING TO LOVE THE PERSON YOU FOUND.

SUSTAINING love is not a passive or spontaneous experience. It’ll NEVER just happen to you. You can’t ‘find’ LASTING love. You have to ‘make’ it day in and day out. That’s why we have the expression ‘the labor of love.’ Because it takes time, effort and energy. And most importantly, it takes WISDOM. You have to know WHAT TO DO to make your marriage work.

Make no mistake about it. Love is NOT a mystery. There are specific things you can do (with or without your spouse) to succeed with your marriage.

Just as there are physical laws of the universe (such as gravity), there are also laws for relationships. Just as the right diet and exercise program makes you physically stronger, certain habits in your relationship WILL make your marriage stronger. It’s a direct cause and effect. If you know and apply the laws, the results are predictable… you can ‘make’ love.

Love in marriage is indeed a ‘decision’… Not just a feeling.

Juleen @ Pull & Bear, Pavilion

Allow me to introduce to you my girlfriend, Juleen Wong, a certified dietitian by profession. So guys, now you know how my daily diet is. Not easy to have a dietitian girlfriend…hehe.. but that’s okay… I do feel loved and pampered when I know someone care about my food and health. Her passion, however, is not looking after people’s diet. I have not heard her talking much about healthy diet except when she is “lecturing” me. Based on our daily conversation, I would confidently assume her passions are in shopping, trying out dessert and baking.

Talking about baking, I can assure you she bakes the best brownies and cupcakes. Her brownies and cupcakes come with different flavors and each one of them taste so good. I never had enough of her pastries despite eating them many many times. Her brownies and cupcakes are best to eat with a cup of coffee. It’s like how you have to had red wine to complement the red meat. It is so good that, she even has her own home - baking business (of course through my encouragement). She named it Deliciéux (French word for Delicious). You pronounce it as day-lee-syuh. One of this day, I shall write about her baking…

Introducing Juleen is not complete without showing a few pictures of her.

I captured these photos in the changing room. I am quite impressed with the end result…

and the last piece…

AND please do not have any wrong idea what was I doing with her in the changing room.
