Telekom Malaysia (TM) Not That Bad laa…

Published by ruehyinn under Bluish & Pinkish Life

My mother was “furious” on Saturday morning because she cannot access the Internet. And yes, despite her age… she is an Internet user. Not once in a while type of user but very frequent type… haha !

I was out early in the morning for church prayer meeting. While I was on the road, my mum called me and “sounded” me. And yes, she is an early morning internet user TOO. This is the conversation…

Mum: Where are you?

RY: On the way to church, mum?

Mum: Wah, why you go out so often. You hardly at home… blah blah

RY: What happened mum?

Mum: The internet connection cannot be used. Wanna ask you to check also you not free… blah blah

RY: Huh? How I know what happened? Did you check the phone connection and everything?

Mum: Hello, son !! I don’t study engineering OKAY! (mum always think engineering pau kah liao**)

**pau kah liao - english: cover everything, all rounders, know everything

RY: Okay okay, I will come back before 10am and check for you !

BAMMM … (Mum slammed my handphone)

I couldn’t even focus the whole prayer meeting session. I kept thinking what will happened if I can’t solve the problem for my mum. Knowing engineering graduates don’t pau kah liao (know everything), I give a call to Telekom Malaysia (TM) to inquire…

Lo and behold, the whole Kota Kemuning was facing with the same problem. Apparently there are some problem with the line cable. The customer service who assisted me was informative, efficient and helpful. I got my answer in less than 30 seconds. He promised me, everything will be okay on Sunday morning at 7.00am

Now, I have answer for my mum! And most importantly, I don’t have to sweat myself to figure out what happen when I know nothing about telecommunication. I can drive home peacefully…

kota kemuning

On my way back, I saw…

Before the first roundabout at Kota Kemuning…

kota kemuning

Next to the first roundabout … Can you see TM’s signboard?

kota kemuning

Before the second roundabout …

There were a lot of cars and 4WD along the road. If you guessed they were from Telekom Malaysia (TM), then you are right. Seem like, they are taking things seriously that day :-) . Apparently they worked overnight and my mum had her internet connection in the morning as promised.

After the whole experience I learnt:-

1. Parents love to spent time with their children even after they have grown up and they rely on their children even on trivia matter.

and

2. Telekom Malaysia (TM)’s service has improved. Their customer service is excellent and most importantly, they accomplish what they promised. If you are one of those that have no faith in TM, give them a chance :-)

………………………………….

P/S: Of course, I’ve exaggerated a bit on the conversation part and with some sense of humor. I hardly remember the detail of the conversation and my mum will always stay as a kind and gentle lady.

So Whose Problem Is It… ?

Published by ruehyinn under Tri - Via

PUTRAJAYA: The cabinet yesterday expressed dismay over the Terengganu government’s decision to purchase 14 new Mercedes Benz cars to replace the Proton Perdana.

Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia Datuk Seri Najib Razak:

“It is the government’s policy that all ministries and government departments use national cars. Even Abdullah and I are using national cars.”

Terengganu State Secretary, Datuk Mokhtar Nong:

“After much evaluation, the state felt the Mercedes-Benz cars are more reliable for long term use. It was also time to replace the Proton Perdanas.”

supported by…

Terengganu State Chief Minister, Datuk Ahmad Said:

** english translation at the bottom

SO WHOSE PROBLEM IS IT? Here are the three (3) possibilities …

PROBLEM 1: IT IS PROTON’S …

It was claimed that in a statement by office of Menteri Besar, the maintenance cost had been high since the Proton cars were put into use four your years ago. For example, the maintenance cost of two of the cars since 2004 was RM175,229.97 and RM132,357.76.

SURE OR NOT?? The cost of maintenance for 4 years is higher than the price of the car itself.

proton perdana

PROBLEM 2: DATUK AHMAD SAID’s …

Is it possible that Datuk Ahmad Said is giving excuses only??

No one will ever find out, anyway …

datuk ahmad said

PROBLEM 3: MERCEDES BENZ’S …

Look at the car…

MERCEDES BENZ

Who in the right mind will resist such a car if you are in the position to get one?

I came out with this new theory…

Irresistible Car cause Irrational Temptation —> Irrational Temptation cause Mind Losing Objectiveness —> Mind Losing Objectiveness cause Impulsive Buying !!

PROBLEM …

……………..PROBLEM …

………………….………………….PROBLEM …

NOT MY PROBLEM ALSO, BETTER SLEEP…

Yawn…Goodnight!

**Translation:-

“We’re not saying national car is not good, but it is proven that the even a two year old car (national car) required frequent maintenance due to some components failure namely the gear box. Car driven by Toh Chin Yaw, Chairman of Industry, Trade and Nature, for instance, had gone through two times maintenance which cost RM50,000 thus far. Even though Mercedes is expensive but it is more cost effective to maintain in the long run.”

Ring Hunting Day…

Published by JuleenW under Bluish & Pinkish Life

Last weekend was the Malaysia International Jewellery Fair held at KL Convention Centre. RuehYinn and I managed to visit the Jewellery Fair on Sunday after church, wanting to search for a ring. I was hoping to get a good price since most of the exhibitors are wholesalers.

MIJF 08

I have set my mind on pavé setting or micro pavé setting diamond ring. RuehYinn bought me a loose solitaire diamond, not too long ago. So now it is time for me to look for a ring to set the stone on. Hehehe.. The diamond needs a house now…

Anyway, going back to the Malaysia International Jewellery Fair. We went to different booths to look for the right ring. Walk up and down the exhibition hall but we left the Jewellery Fair empty handed and eyes almost blinded due to the “blings” from the diamonds… hehe.. We’re amazed!! There are a lot of beautiful diamonds but couldn’t find the right ring.

Anyway, micro pavé setting ring looks like this…

and this…

Aren’t they beautiful… ?

Not willing to give up yet, we extended our search to Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC)…

KLCC

And I found something I like over there…In fact, both of us agreed on this “ONE RING” (let’s keep you guys suspense for a while before revealing the ring).

Anyhow, we will continue hunting around to make sure this is the best that we saw!

Our ring hunting journey continues. So stay tuned… ;-)
