Johnson’s “Baby of the Year 2010″ Contest…

30 Aug

I didn’t realized the above competition is such a big thing. This would be my second “pro-bono” job where I took the pictures of the babies just for the competition. It would not be appropriate to post the picture of the 1st baby since I have not request for permission. But the 2nd baby is non other than Wei Quan, my nephew. He is such an ease since he loves to laugh. A bit naughty though…

The next year when I officially become a father, I will do “pro-bono” job for my own baby and I will make sure I win. It’s RM15k, alright?!

Pictures at Lang Tengah…

29 Aug

I managed to visit Lang Tengah, Terengganu with some of my friends last month. I wasn’t entirely amazed with what I have seen. In my honest opinion, islands in Sabah and Pangkor Laut Resort are so much better. That said, I managed to take some very interesting pictures which I would like to share. It would have been better if I have the tripod with me…

These Are What You Get When You Have the Best’est’ Fiancee…

9 Mar

My birthday will not be here at least for the next 6  months but I felt like a birthday boy yesterday. It also seems as though, Santa Claus flew down from North Pole to give me presents even though Christmas is at least 9 months away…

Yesterday after church service, Juleen suggested that we should get a Nikkor 50mm F1.4G lens, since I had been constantly talking about the goodness of this lens. I had a shocked of my life! For those that do not know, I have been wanting this lens for the longest time. However, I had to put away the idea of getting this lens since it is very costly especially after Nikon increases the price of all their lens due to strengthening of Yen and US dollar. Thank God we got the lens at a reasonable price from a Nikon dealers at AmCorp Mall…

If there is one person that will have the patient to hear me talking about photography matters like lens, camera and etc, that person is non – other than my beloved fiancee, Ms. Juleen Wong. You just have to look at the picture below to believe (credit: Siew Yen)…

Therefore, I am not sure Juleen bought the lens is out of love or just to keep my mouth shut. Hehehe...

In my heart, I knew it is purely out of love. Why? Because it simply does not make sense for her or anyone of us to spend on luxury especially when we have to save up for our marriage at the end of this year. The fact she is willing to get me a new lens is because she is passing all the benefit from the salary increment of her new job all to me… She is such a sweet girl, don’t you guys think so?

My new Nikkor lens…

This lens is exceptionally good for portraits and since it is a “very” large aperture lens… the bokeh (blur background) from this lens is superb. Now, I am ready for some serious portrait shots, TC..hehe! You just have to look at the picture below to believe:-

Juleen with her Java Chip…

And the gift below came with total surprise. It is a nose/ear hair trimmer… hehe! Not sure what is her intention…hahaha… but hey it is a gift, I won’t reject. I need it anyway…hahaha!

Yesterday, I fell asleep with a smile on my face having two gifts in a day…I am so blessed! Thank you, Sweetheart…!

I wish you a good day too… Cheers!

Kota Kinabalu: Pulau Manukan and Pulau Sapi in Color…

28 Oct

Heading there

We noticed a lot of fishing boat while on our way to Pulau Manukan…

Pulau Manukan

View from the Pulau Manukan’s jetty…

The beach at Pulau Manukan…

My favorite pictures, very commercial (hehe)…

Pulau Sapi

Under the jetty, smaller scale compare to the one in Pulau Manukan…

Building a jetty isn’t that complicated, don’t you think so?

What does this sign supposed to mean? No swimming or no float allow?

Beautiful sky and beautiful beach…

At Kota Kinabalu city…

Unknown unique building at Kota Kinabalu city…

I am starting to miss Kota Kinabalu already…

Morib… oh… Moribku!

13 Oct

After 2 weeks of learning and editing with Photoshop CS3, here are some of my works. I gave my own comments on top of each pictures, since no one gives me comments (sad!). I need to work harder… haha! Anyway, pictures look different in different sizes. Somehow, they look nicer in bigger size, so click on the pictures to experience it yourself.

Title: Waiting to Embark

Comment: I initially intended to take a symmetry pictures of this four (4) fishing boats with emphasis on the bow of the first boat. Too bad, I was constraint by the position of the jetty and the boats. But I thought this is not a too bad picture. I called it “Waiting to Embark”, to illustrate the waiting of the tides…

Title: Heroes of the Sea

Comment: This is my second attempt to take a symmetry picture. But I guess it fail! Look at how “dis-symmetry” are the five boats. However, I like this picture because it captures the condition of the boats especially the cockpit. Because of that I named it the “Heroes of the Sea” to “humanize” the boats.

Title: Wreck?

Comment: Different angle from the “Heroes of the Sea”. I wonder this boat is still in service? Looks like the boat had been dilapidated by neglect. I named it “Wreck?”…

Title: Twin in Black and White

Comment: Argh…this is supposed to be a beautiful black and white pictures. But look at the plank in the middle of the picture. Sigh, too bad… I named it “Twin in Black and White” and don’t ask me why. I don’t know why also… haha!

Title: Sampan in Color

Comment: Look at the foot print on the mud (or sand). If only I could get down from the jetty, to focus on the foot print with the fishing boat at the background, it will be perfect. Hehe.. I was having lunch, so I don’t want to get myself all dirty and muddy. I called it “Sampan in Color”…

Title: Loner in Morib

Comment: My favorite picture. It is not easy for me (for a noob like me), to bring out the color of the sky.    I had purposely increase the color saturation of the pictures to bring out the colors. Juleen said the mud (or sands) is too yellowish. But I think they are beautiful. Life should be colorful, don’t you think so? This is the only fishing boat that’s apart from others, so I named this picture the “Loner of Morib”…

….

Hope you guys like them!

When You Got Nothing To Do…

You Cam Whore…

And look stupid while cam whoring…

Wikipedia defines cam whore as:-

A cam whore (sometimes cam-whore or cam-slut) is an individual who exposes himself or herself on the Internet with webcam software in exchange for goods, usually by encouraging viewers to purchase items on their wish lists or add to their online accounts. While the label is usually considered derogatory and insulting, it is also used by these people to describe themselves, occasionally in a self-deprecating manner.

The term “cam whore” is also used to refer to individuals who post pictures or videos of themselves on the Internet to gain attention. The term disparages those who post pictures of themselves at inappropriate times or places, and usually implies self-absorption. This second usage of the term, deriding vanity and histrionics, is overtaking the prior, more intuitive definition. It is usually synonymous with “attention whore”.

OH NO… I NEED ATTENTION!!!
