I should have blog about this earlier on but now only got the time to edit the picture and write.

It was my mum’s birthday on Wednesday (June 17). We have our dinner at the club house. Dad was joking he booked the whole restaurant because we were the only patron in the restaurant. Don’t worry, it wasn’t because the food is not nice. It was because we had our dinner relatively late.

My mum and dad, happily married for 30 years…

The best mum on Earth… I thank God for giving her a good health! She looks great, don’t you think so?

I think she needs some make up though..haha

And not forgetting the birthday cake from San Terri Cottage. It’s Juleen’s current favorite place now. So obviously she bought the cake. Thanks dear…

Everyone was excited to be able to celebrate my mum’s birthday including Bobo…

I just pray God will continue to bless my mum with good health, joy and this is most important for Chinese.. PROSPERITY. Amen!

All I can remember from the “delayed” Shui Lin’s birthday celebration is a lot of foods and a lot of pork! So much food that I have to break yesterday’s event into 2 parts. Part 1 is about the “launching” of Shui Lin’s latest fashion, the E-diot cum birthday celebration at the Checkers, Damansara Height. Part 2 is our second round celebration at Vintry at Medan Damansara. I won’t be writing much though, because I realized pictures tell better story then me writing, so enjoy!

For her birthday, we gave Shui Lin three T-shirts all designed in-house. The main designers are TC and Calista…hahaha…the rest of the team which include myself are the opinion – givers…hehehe! It is still team work, okay!

Let’s talk about the food at the Checkers. This is the first time I came about a restaurant that has no signboard but with extremely yummy food owned by two very “interesting” owners. You will know why later…

I have done some short research on the Checkers at Damansara Height. Some called the restaurant the “best kept secret in town”. I have to agree with that statement. This restaurant isn’t easy to locate and most interestingly, the restaurant doesn’t even have a sign board!!!

I thought sign board is the cheapest publicity for any business???

Even without a signboard, this place is full almost every evening (from what I heard). The seats in the restaurant is kinda limited also. If I am not mistaken, there are only maximum 15 “single” tables available in the restaurant. People normally go to the restaurant in a group, so I assumed the restaurant can fit maximum 5 groups only. Therefore, if you wanna dine at the Checkers, please book few days in advance…

Once you are there, follow this sequence… find the younger owner, talk some crap with him for a while, ask him what he has for the day other than in the menu, listen to his recommendation, order and wait for your food. After a while you will notice what’s so “interesting” about the owners. Checker have two owners, if I have not mistaken…

Next is the food… I am not a good commentator when comes to food. I have very limited vocabulary when come to describe food. But I can assure you, the food at Checkers are delicious (see what I mean) and they use the best ingredients for their food…

1. Grilled Expensive Mushroom and Grilled Tomato Soup…

2. Some Pasta (which I don’t remember the name) and Mexican Sausage…

3. Some Pasta (which I don’t remember the name) and the famous Lord of the Ribs (LOTR)…

I hope the pictures have done a good job by showing to you how good is the food at Checkers. You already have the visual, what is lacking is the smell and the opportunity to taste. If you are interested to dine at the restaurant, I have already included a map and address to the restaurant. Book in advance using this number: 03-2095 3304 before going there…

Be prepared to pay for the food and don’t be late or you might lose your booking. Just don’t show the “e-diot” face like Linda if you so happen to arrive late…haha! Sorry Linda… you are still my favorite person in office…

My birthday was last Sunday. And I have been so blessed during my birthday. It was all about celebration and food this year.

On Friday, my birthday celebration already started. We went back to Sassorosso to have a simple dinner after work consists of pizza and pasta. Remember Sassorosso? It was where RuehYinn proposed to me. Hehe…

On Saturday after half day of work, my shopping instinct came about. I headed to Pavillion to shop for something to treat myself for my birthday. I’ve gotten myself a black handbag and a white leather belt. To share the gift of love and also giving, instead of being blessed, I also felt very much deep inside I want to blessed others especially my love ones my mum and RuehYinn. I bought a handbag and a pair of silver heels for mum as an act of appreciation. My mum’s feet is quite small, a size 4, and so happened size 4 left with 1 pair, I guess perhaps it is waiting for me to buy it… haha The heels were very nice and I thought she could wear it on my wedding day… quite thoughtful of me!

As for RuehYinn, I bought him a Ted Baker black tie. He could use it during our photo shoots, registration, and even wedding day:-p  Black is sexy and sleek. Oh he would look very charming in it. …awwww, definitely will mesmerize a lot of girls’ hearts! *faint*

That was my shopping spree…

Saturday night after church service, my lovely cell group members celebrated birthday with me. We went for Japanese food at Rakuzen in Subang Jaya.

We were so hungry when we get there, and Rakuzen was packed as usual. We had to wait quite some time before the food is being served. *my stomach growling already*

My cell group members blessed me with cupcakes and a pair of sweet pink Crocs, luckily is not those big headed Crocs, else it will be stuck in my closet, pheww. I am not a real fan of Crocs, but the new designs are quite sweet and it was in my favourite color pink. Why Crocs? Because our whole cell group each member will own a pair of Crocs in the near future during their birthdays, and I am so fortunate to be the first to receive as birthday gift…

Few days ago, while I was having my lunch break, I stumbled upon a souvenir store to check out some couple- key chains in search of a gift for RY. And praise God I found something reasonable priced.

This is the couple key chain that I bought

Firstly, since our house will be ready end of the year, I thought it would be a great gift so that we could keep our house keys on. Secondly, I think it is cute with the girl and guy symbol on the key chain. And later on I wanna engrave our names on them (see how much I think about Us *_* )

And yesterday while our shopping trip to Sunway Pyramid, we passed by a kiosk selling key chains and other souvenirs. And RY mentioned those couple-key chains were cute, so I just ‘pretend’ saying they are not nice since I already bought one. ( Luckily they did not sell the one that I bought, else I will feel heartache coz they were selling slightly cheaper… phew~)

So this is the 1st birthday gift on the list for RY. There’s more… …………(I’m a very loving girlfriend isn’t it- self praise hahaha )
